Correction · September 15, 2026. Our August 14 note replaced one overbroad data promise with another: it said client imagery would never enter AI context. That is not our current practice, and we withdraw that promise.
What we can say plainly
We reconstruct imagery on Atlas-owned hardware. Our work also uses hosted email, delivery services and AI tools; imagery and project context may be reviewed with AI. We agree project-specific handling, sharing and retention with you before capture.
Why local processing is not the whole answer
Reconstruction, AI review, email and hosted delivery are distinct steps. Knowing where the model was reconstructed does not tell you where every image or piece of project context may be processed. Our earlier separation between an imagery pipeline and an office AI was too absolute.
What to ask before sharing a site
- Which imagery or project details may go to AI or other service providers?
- Who can open the delivery link, and for how long?
- What access and retention terms apply?
- Can the workflow meet this site’s confidentiality requirements?
We establish those terms before capture. Physical-file delivery can be discussed, but it is not a promise of an entirely offline or AI-free engagement.
Read our current data-handling notes. If a prior statement conflicts with those notes, ask us to resolve it explicitly in the project agreement.
